VICTOR COFFMAN KILLED IN CRASH

FORMER FORT CALHOUN RESIDENT, 58, KILLED IN WYOMING WRECK

Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon at the Sievers mortuary in Fort Calhoun for Victor Coffman, 58, of Casper, Wyoming, formerly of Fort Calhoun, who was killed in a truck automobile collision at Riverton, Wyoming, October 18.

The Rev. R. E. Donaldson, Presbyterian minister, officiated at the services. Burial was in Fort Calhoun cemetery.

Mr. Coffman's automobile and a truck hit head-on near Riverton. Two men riding in the Coffman car were seriously injured.

Well-known in Fort Calhoun, his home for 42 years, Mr. Coffman had visited friends there only two months ago.

Born September 26, 1879, at Indianola, Iowa, Mr. Coffman came to Fort Calhoun with his parents when six months old and resided there until 1925, when he moved to Winnebago with his family. Two years ago the family moved to Casper, where Mr. Coffman had a position with a livestock firm.

He was married February 15, 1915 to Clara H. Shell, and to them were born two children, one of whom, a son, died in infancy.

Surviving Mr. Coffman are his wife; a daughter, Sarah; a stepson, George Shell, of Dakota City, Nebraska; a sister, Mrs. Mary Rowley, of Omaha. Mrs. Herman Klahn of Fort Calhoun is a niece.
