Grace Muriel Barkhouse, 90, New Germany, died June 14, 2000, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born at Hemford, she was a daughter of the late James and Charlotte "Lottie" (Wile) Silver. She was a member of Edpworth United Church, New Germany. She was a housekeeper for several residences in the area. She enjoyed receiving visitors. Surviving are sisters, LaVerta Silver, Upper Northfield; Ivy Silver, Lunenburg; Evora Pico, Flin Flon, Manitoba; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William Barkhouse; sisters, Jean Silver, Jessie Turner; brother, Harold Silver. No visitation by request. Funeral 11 a.m. Saturday in Epworth United Church, New Germany, Rev. Natalie Bubhanan officiating. Burial in St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church Cemetery. Flowers from the family only. Donations to New Germany and Area Medical Centre or the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements under the direction of the New Germany Funeral Home.
