Mickey, You epitomize baseball greatness like no other player I know. When my White Sox palyed your Yankees, it was traet to see how dynamic you played the game even though my Sox were the recipients. You won't be forgotten by ANYONE who saw you play. The courage you showed at the end of your life was a lesson on how to live, period. Thank you for all the great memories.

Mickey Mantle, perhaps the greatest switch hitter that played the game of baseball. As we shared the same nickname, you were my childhood hero in the sport. Your career was super, but one can only wonder about the numbers you would have posted in hitting statistics, had you had two good legs. Saw you from a distance at a golf tournament in Louisville, Ky after you had retired from baseball. A true legend and one that will always be remembered in baseball lore.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Mantle. You were, are, and will always represent everything which is right with the national pastime. Thank you for the countless memories and moments, which you have and continue to provide for generations of fans, young and old. Most importantly, thank you for using yourself as an example of the perils of living life in a bottle. You are and will remain one of the most talented, accomplished, and revered players and figures of this or any era. It would have been the greatest honor to have met and worked with you. May God continue to bless and watch over you and those you love then, now, and always.RIP

Mr. Mantle, God called you home 19 years ago this month. You were, are, and will always represent everything which is right the national pastime. Thank you for the countless memories and moments, which you have and continue to provide for generations of fans, young and old. Most importantly, thank you for showing the public the perils of a life lived in a bottle. Your legend and legacy will only continue expand with the passage of time, as you are fondly remembered and sorely missed by family, friends, and fans everywhere. You are my father's favorite player, as he openly cried when you passed away. It would have been the greatest honor to have met and worked with you. May God continue to bless and watch over you and those you love then, now, and always. RIP
