Brenda Snow Gibbs, 71, of Hickory, loving wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with her Lord on January 1, 2014 at her son's home in Boaz.
She was a retired nurse for Dr. Robert Burnett, a member of Liberty Baptist Church, and often attended Trace Creek Baptist Church with her family.
She is survived by her husband Seldon Gibbs; her mother, Mildred Pierce Snow of Mayfield; son, Richard Todd Oliver and wife Lynda of Boaz; sister, Norma Sue Underwood, of Hickory; two grandchildren, Austin Oliver, Drew Oliver; and four nieces and nephews, Jill Marsh of Houston, Jon Snow, Tim Prater, and Kimberly Prater; step-daughters, Renee Sullivan and husband Mark, and Rhonda Matheny and husband Randy; five step-granchildren, Kayla Webb, Kelly Sullivan, Austin Sullivan, Mitchell Matheny, Carly Matheny; two great-step-grandchildren, Avery Webb, James Webb, and Allie Webb.
She was preceded in death by her father Dalton Snow; her daughter Cynthia Jean Oliver; sister Shirley Mae Prater; two brothers, Larry Dalton Snow, Bobby Dale Snow; and one nephew Chris Snow.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gibbs will be 2:00 pm Sunday January 5, 2014 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Stinson Jr. officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation for Mrs. Gibbs will be 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Saturday January, 4, 2014 at the funeral home.
