December 18 On this day in 1860, Texas Rangers under the command of Lawrence S. Ross attacked a Comanche hunting camp at Mule Creek. During this raid the rangers were surprised to find that one of their captives had blue eyes; it was a non-English-speaking white woman with her infant daughter. Thanks to Texas Back Roads

Her birth year has been given as between 1824 and 1827. Place of birth has been given by various sources as Coles County, Clarke County and Crawford County. At no time between 1820 and 1830 was Charleston ever in Crawford County. Coles County was not formed until 1830. So the location of Charleston, IL had to have been in Clarke County between the years 1820 and 1830.

I am so very sorry you could not return to the world of your choice as I wish I could. May G-d bless you with eternal happiness and peace.

I chose a sunflower. My Dad always planted a sunflower in the middle of his garden. My cousin went to the Dr one day-she was having problems with her legs. The Dr asked her how much indian she had in her-she didnt know she had any. So she asked my Aunt. My Aunt said "all I can tell you -is") one day(My Aunt) I was in school studying about Cynthia Ann Parker-and she thouht it was so interesting. My grandmother replied-we are a direct decendent of Cynthis Ann. My grandfather(who was Irish) jumped up and said I don't want that discussed in this house again. My grandfather burned the family Bible. I have desperately searched to no avail. My great grandmother was Harriett Geneva Parker born in Mississippi in 1857. She married William Oxner who are both burried in Shelby County Texas. If there is anyone who can help-please do so.Pattie Sepulvadop_sepulvado1@yahoo.com
