She was born in Anderson, Indiana, and was a lifelong Anderson resident.

She retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 40 years of service.

She was a very involved member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was a 25 year member of Anderson Chapter Order of the Easter Star and also a member of the UAW Local #662.

She is survived by her son, Larry Wright of Anderson; grandson, Gary & wife Dana Wright of Anderson and their children, Lucas and Gavin Wright; bonus grandchildren, Laura & husband Wes Johnson of Louisville, Kentucky and their children, Claire, Caroline and Sophia, Therese & husband Neil Rosenbarger of Noblesville and their children, Drew and Malorie, Joe & wife Debra Gatton of Indianapolis and Patrick & wife Penny Gatton of Anderson and their children, Cassey, Alexis and Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like give a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Monticello House for their loving care.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James A. Wright in 1993; her grandson, Jim Wright; a great granddaughter, Courtney Gatton; two brothers, Glenn Zion and Darryl Zion; and a sister, Lois Mowrey.
