WATERBURY ? Charles J. Onalfo, 90, of 16 Townsend Ave., died Monday, Nov. 22, at Haven Health Center of Waterbury. He was the widower of Carmella (Messina) Onalfo.

Mr. Onalfo was born Jan. 9, 1914, in Waterbury, son of the late Vincenzo and Maria (Coniglio) Onolfo. He was a beautician, and owned and operated Mr. Charles' Salon for 35 years in Howland Hughes department store. He was a member of the Italian Heritage Club, Lega Sicilian Club, the Cha Rumba Club, and the Hairdresser's Guild. He was a member of St. Leo's Men's Association.

He leaves a son, V. James Onalfo of Ridgefield; two daughters, Gloria Jackson of Waterbury and Annette Quagliano of Cheshire; two brothers, Richard and Anthony Onalfo, both of California; two sisters, Mary Saporita of California and Catherine Samela of Waterbury; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Funeral 9 a.m. Wednesday from Maiorano Funeral Home, 95 Willow St., Waterbury, to St. Leo the Great Church for Mass at 11. Entombment: Calvary Garden Mausoleum. Calling hours 9 to 10:30 a.m. today at the funeral home.
