Services for Delores
J. Adair Asher, 70, of 107 Oxford St.,
Otterbein, formerly of Logansport, will
be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Gundrum
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Asher died at 7:55 p.m. Sunday,
May 18, 2003, in Home Hospital, Lafayette.
Born March 31, 1933, in Logansport,
she was the daughter of Arthur F. and
Rose Whiteman Burns. She was married
Sept. 2,1950, in Logansport, to William
Adair, who died Jan. 16, 1981. On Dec.
31,1992, in Logansport, she was married
to William J. Asher, who survives.
She had been employed at the former
RBM until her retirement in 1987, after
25 years of service.
She was a former member of Wheatland
Avenue United Methodist Church,
Logansport, and was a current member
of Otterbein United Methodist Church.
Also surviving are one stepson, Tim
Asher, Otterbein; four sons, Ronald Jay
Adair and his wife, Jan, Steven Wayne
Adair, James William Adair Sr. and
Richard Lee Adair, all of Logansport; two
daughters, Tereasa Elaine Knight and
her husband, Bill, and Cynthia Jane
Mackey and her husband; Jim, all of Lo-
gansport; one brother, Richard Burns
and his wife Kay, Bennetts Switch; one
sister, Jean Schoenke and her husband,
Jack, Winchester; 15 grandchildren; and
26 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, Clarence, Frank Jr. and
Billie Burns; one sister, Grace Martin;
and one daughter, Sharon Louise Smith,
preceded in death.
Pastor David J. Smitley will officiate at
the services. Burial will be in Davis
Cemetery, Burnettsville.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday in the funeral home.
