Mary Gravely Baker, 56, of Route 2, Box 178, Pulaski, died early Wednesday, Aug. 17, 1994, in the home of her son. She fought a courageous fight,

Born in Pulaski on Aug. 30, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Fannie Bowman Gravely.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Staff Sgt. James T. Gravely Sr.; and her husband, James G. Baker Sr.

She was a member of the Draper Christian Church, an employee of Jefferson Mills, Pulaski, and she was a member of the TOPS group.

Surviving are one son, Kenneth Baker, Livingston, Mont.; sons and daughters in- law, James G. and Sara Baker Jr. and Carl and Judy Baker, all of Pulaski; her father, Raymond Gravely of Pulaski; four sisters, Betty Hurd and Frances Martin, both of Pulaski, Ann Hasson of Draper, and Kate Wells of West Virginia; five brothers, William E. Gravely of Ashville, N.C., Eugene Gravely, Raymond J. Gravely and Walter W. "Tut" Gravely, all of Pulaski, and Charles A. Gravely of Maryland; one granddaughter, Julie Elizabeth Baker; and two grandsons, Jacob Baker and Cody Baker.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Stevens Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Daniel R. Levesque officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery, Pulaski County. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski. Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, is in charge of arrangements.
