Flora T. (DiMambro) Tina, 94, of Salem, wife of the late Joseph J. Tina, with whom she had shared 61 years of marriage, died Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Aviv Center for Living, Peabody, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Salem, She was the daughter of the late Louis and Maria (Cornacchia) DiMambro, a lifelong resident of the city and a communicant of the former St. Mary's Italian Church.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by GTE Sylvania at the Boston Street, Salem plant.
Flora's family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of the Aviv Center as well as the Hospice of The North Shore for the respect, love and care extended to their mother during her illness.
Mrs. Tina is survived by two sons, John and his wife Donna Tina of Bonaire, GA, Stephen and his wife Debi Tina of Beverly, two daughters, Maria Tina and her husband John Stanchfield of Marblehead, Patricia and her husband Joseph Meara of Salem, five grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Ashley Tina of Swampscott, Jamie Pomakis, Jessica Pomakis, both of Ipswich, Alex Tina and Elizabeth Tina, both of Beverly, two great grandchildren, one brother, Dante DiMambro of Tyler Texas, one sister, Elsa Fiske of Salem and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph DiMambro, Roger DiMambro, Anthony Dee and Alexsandra Femino.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday October 9, 2013 at Noon at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 AM to Noon, prior to the service. Burial is in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
