Elizabeth Ann "Betty" (Miller) Knight, 84, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital.

Betty was born in Danville, Illinois on October 7, 1928 to the late Ulus H. and Monnie Marie (Turnage) Miller. She graduated from Danville High School in 1946. Betty was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #1114 Ladies Auxiliary and was an Eastern Star. She enjoyed making ceramics, quilting, meeting new people and was a faithful member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

Betty is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ira Knight; daughter, Tamira Knight of Lynnville, IN; sons, Bruce (Mary) Knight, David Knight, Mike Knight and Jeff (Nancy) Knight, all of Evansville; grandchildren, Jason, Sarah, Krista, Christopher and Michael B.; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Audrey, Jocelyn, Olivia, Hali, Abigail, Addie, Lydia, Samuel and Joel.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Eula Marie Harris and by her brother, John Harmon Miller IV.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN with Rev. Danny Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Centenary Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday.
