UNDERHILL - Jane Octavia Bogue Kellner, 72, of Underhill, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her loving family on Aug. 22, 2013.

She was born Nov. 25, 1940, in Burlington, and grew up on the family farm in Underhill.

She graduated from Essex High School, and shortly after began working at St. Michael's College, where on a blind date arranged by her friends in her office, she met Stephan, who taught her the fundamentals of skiing. They were married on Aug. 27, 1960. She also worked as a secretary for the Diosease of Burlington after her youngest child started school. She retired in 2003. Jane had many hobbies, including bingo, word searches, dice games, scratch tickets, yard sales, and playing slots. She most enjoyed sailing with Stephan and the annual family camp-out at Lake Elmore State Park. She was an active member of St. Thomas Church where she taught CCD and cochaired the annual lawn party. She was also called upon to make her famous bread and rolls for all the church functions.

She was predeceased by her parents, Aurthur and Edith Bogue; and infant son, Michael, all of Underhill.

She is survived by her husband, Stephan of Underhill; 12 children, Paul Kellner and wife, Karen, of Cambridge, Mark Kellner and wife, Penny, of Bakersfield, Ted Kellner and wife, Denise, of East Fairfield, Mary Jane Kreps and husband, Matthew, of Borup, Minn., Elizabeth Machia and husband, David, of Waterville, Margaret Gardner and husband, Brett, of Colchester, Bernard Kellner of Cambridge, Monica Kellner and partner, Michael Trepanier, of Colchester, Christine Hale, Christopher Kellner, Julie Kellner, and John Kellner and wife, Christen, all of Underhill; brother, Jack Bogue and wife, Lucy, of Milan, Tenn., special niece, Kathie Kretzer and husband, Ken, of Huntington; 23 grand- children; two great-grandchildren; and many foster children over the years.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, Underhill, followed by a burial service at Pleasant Valley Cemetery on Dean Road in Underhill.

Reception to follow at St. Thomas Church. Arrangements by Gifford Funeral Services of Richmond.
