Charles Edwin NEAL, youngest son of John and Jane NEAL, was born in Sidney, Shelby County, Ohio on 12-6-1852 and died at his home in Kansas City on 2-20-1933 at the age of 80.
In 1867 he came with his father's family to john son County, KS and purchased a farm northwest of Olathe, KS which was then bought by Mr. H.E. BUSCH.
Nov 9, 1881, he married Miss Edna PAGE of Higginsville, MO. They resided on his parents farm until their passing. In 1892 they moved to Kansas City, MO and Charles was employed at the Uninon Pacific and Santa Fe freight offices. He had been retired for 16 years.
Since the death of his wife in 1918, Charles made his home with their daughter, Mrs. Charles WARFIELD, who passed away 2-8-1932 in Los Angeles, and with his son, J. Roy NEAL of 204 W. 70th Terrace, Kansas City, MO.
Funeral services were held at the Bergman Funeral Home. Internment in Forest Hills Cemetery where his wife is also buried.
Besides his son and wife, he is also survived by his son-in-law in LA, and 5 grandchildren: John Roy, and Edwin NEAL, Charles WARFILED Jr, Marcia and Page WARFIELD.
Charles was the brother of the late Mrs. B.S. McFARLAND and Mrs. W.A. OCHELTREE and will be remembered as one of the oldest residents of Olathe and vicinity.
