MONTICELLO — Nellie R. Cass, 85, of 1010
Cumberland Ave., West Lafayette, died at
12:35 p.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth
Healthcare Center, Delphi.
Born May 26, 1907, in Burnettsville, she
was the daughter of Delos and Emma Bishop
Meeker. On Sept. 29,1928, in Burnettsville,
she was married to Richard Cass, who died
June 21,1974.
Mrs. Cass had been a resident of Burnettsville
most of her life, moving to Lafayette in 1977.
She had been a member of Burnettsville Baptist
Church for more than 50 years.
She was a 1925 graduate of Burnettsville
High School. Surviving are one daughter,
Dorothy Million, Lafayette; four grand
children; and six great-grandchildren.
One son, four sisters, and two brothers
preceded in death.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday in Voorhis-Draper Funeral
Home. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery,
Burnettsville.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday
in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the
American Cancer Society.
