Billy Neal Blazer, 74, died June 16, 2005, at the Veterans Administration Hospice in Hampton. He was born Feb. 9, 1931, in Gallipolis, Ohio, the son of the late Eloise and John Blazer. He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Jeannine Blazer. He attended Rio Grande College and served with the Headquarters Battery, 89th Airborne Field Artillery Battalion of the 11th Airborne Division during the Korean War. He worked for 38 years with Huntington Alloys and retired in 1987. He was on the board of trustees with American Legion Post No. 177. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Allison Blazer of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, William and Catherine Blazer; a brother-in-law, James Young; two sisters-in-law, Lou and Deloris Young; and three nieces, Lori, Beth and Lou Ann. A funeral will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, by Pastor Jeff Sizemore. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
