A lifelong resident of Springfield, he was a graduate of Trade High School, now Putsam Vocational, and commenicast of St. Mary's church. He was a Navy veteran. He leaves his wife, the former Lois A. Dubour; three sons, Lester J. of East Longmeadow, Raymond J. of West Springfield and James C. at home; a daughter, Mary A. Duval of Springfield, his mother, Mary E. (Barron) Bigelow of Indian Orchard; a brother, Richard of Washington; two sisters, Helen LaRoche of Indian Orchard and Alice Ambrosini of Enfield, Connecticut.
The funeral will be Friday morning at T.P.Sampson Co. Chapel of the Acres and in the church with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery.
