J.C. was a farmer, a heavy equipment operator, and a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Annie Davis Carlisle; and his granddaughter, Rhonda Faye Sellers Eades. Surviving are his wife, Allene Jones Carlyle; daughters, Edna Mae Ludlum (Fred) of Ash, Hazel Faye Stocking (Richard) of Lindon Station, Wisconsin, and Erma Louise Fraizer (David) of Bristol, Tenn; sister, Doris Hewett of Myrtle Beach, SC; brothers, Daniel Carlisle of Holden Beach and Earl Carlisle of Walnut Island, NC. and his canine buddy, Killer. J.C. died at his residence at age 84.
