Faye C. Andrews, age 78, of Hawthorne, FL passed away June 26, 2013 in E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville. She was born January 17, 1935 in Juliette, Georgia to the late John L. and Bessie Pritchett Cox. She was the pastor's secretary at North Central Baptist Church from 1974 to 1978. She then worked at Hawthorne High School as Occupational Specialist and Activity Director from 1979 until her retirement in 2001. She is survived by her husband of 60 wonderful years, James I. Andrews of Hawthorne, FL; children, Wanda (John) Jennings of Gainesville, FL, Andy (Ronda) Andrews and Scott (Melissa) Andrews, all of Keystone Heights, FL; sisters, Carol (Richard) Davis of Loganville, GA, Janice Pastore of Goose Creek, SC and Sandy (Joe) Ferry of Los Banos, CA; brothers, Barry (Marilyn) Cox and Bentley (Susan) Cox, all of Forsyth, GA; grandchildren, Lanie (Chris) Cyr, Cassie (Josh) Hoffmann, Johnny Jennings, Kenny Andrews, Dean Dukes and Evan Andrews; great grandchildren, Bryson Cyr and Dylan Hoffmann and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Scobie and brothers, Clinton and Steven. Funeral Services were held July 2, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Hawthorne, with Dr. Winson Butler officiating. Interment followed in Memorial Park East, Gainesville, FL. Published in Gainesville Sun from June 30 to July 1, 2013.
