SARAH ANN SHIRCLIFFE was born in 1765 in St. Mary's County, Maryland; married THOMAS EDWARD RINEY, JR. in St. Mary's County. She is the daughter of JOHN SHIRCLIFFE and wife, SUSANNA WHEELER.

CHILDREN of SARAH AND THOMAS EDWARD RINEY are:
(1) Mary born 1782 in St. Mary's County, Maryland; died 24 Jul 1852 in Perry County, Missouri; married Zachariah Layton.
(2) Ann born 1783 in St. Mary's County, Maryland; died in Gonzales (Lavaca) County, Texas; married Bernard Brown; died ca 1845 in St. Mary's Community, Hallettsville, Texas.
(3) Thomas Edward born 11 Feb 1784 in St. Mary's County, Maryland; died 19 Feb 1859 in Perry County, Missouri; married first Sarah Jane Duval, daughter of John Miles Duval, His second marriage was to Sarah Ann French Manning on 23 Nov 1824 in Perry County.
All three children married in Washington County, Kentucky.

SARAH ANN married second, Clement Hayden, son of William Hayden and wife, Elizabeth, who moved to Washington County, Kentucky at the same time as Thomas Riney, Sr. and family. Clement Hayden was guardian of Ann Riney and he gave consent for her marriage to Bernard Brown in 1799 in Washington County, Kentucky. Sarah Ann and Clement Haydon moved to Perry County, Missouri sometime circa 1803.

After Clement Hayden died and being at age 69 years, Sarah Ann then married Joseph Manning on 12 May 1834 in Perry County; recorded in St. Mary's of the Barrens in Marriage Book 1, #149. The records in this church show that she is the daughter of John Shircliffe and Anna (Susanna) Wheeler.

SARAH ANN SHIRCLIFFE, RINEY, HAYDEN, MANNING died 5 Sep 1844 in Perry County and is recorded in St. Mary's of the Barrens Burial Book 1, #704. She executed her Last Will and Testament on 18 Mar 1844; probated 12 Oct 1844 in Perry County, Missouri. She is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville, Perry County, Missouri.
