Maggie Mae "Cricket" Grigsby, 82, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2008, at Deaconess Hospital She was born March 5, 1925, in Fort Branch, Ind.
Mae was a member of United General Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school.
She was a nurse's aide at Bethel Manor for 16 years.
Mae enjoyed crafts, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd V. Grigsby, in 1998; three brothers; and five sisters.
She is survived son, Joe Grigsby of Sebree, Ky.; and daughter, Virginia "Ginny Lou" Exline, son, Rick Grigsby, daughter, Marsha Axton and husband, Terry, son, Bradley Grigsby and wife, Roxanne, and son, Darrell Grigsby and wife, Debbie, all of Evansville; grandchildren, Tony, Donnie, Cheryl, Kristen, Curtis, Steven, George, Melissa, Michael, Jeniffer, Terri, Lynn, Lloyd, Desiree, April and Randy; eighteen great-grandchildren; brother, Tommy Wardrip; sister, Irene Grigsby; and sister, Patsy DeVillez.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2008, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Raymond Abbott, burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m. at Alexander West Chapel.
