Dies In Hospital

Mrs. Mary Jane Hevern, 39-year- old Belveron Gardens mother, died Friday, August 17, at a local hospital after a short illness.

Mrs. Hevern was a former school teacher in Sausalito and Marin City but was most recently employed at Macy's in San Francisco. Francisco.

She had lived in Marin for five years and was a native of South Dakota.

Survivors include her husband, Francis, who is employed at the Mill Valley office of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co.; four children, Edward, 12, Jennifer, 11, Joseph, 8, and Julie, 2; her mother, Mrs. Katherine Tracey of Mill Valley; her grandmother, Mrs. Grace Tracey of South Dakota; two brothers, Edward Tracey of Mill Valley and Gerald Tracey of South San Francisco,, and two sisters, Mrs. Phyllis Lewis and Jennie Lee Kirkvliet of Iowa.

Mrs. Hevern was a member of the Reed Parents Club and St. Hilary's Women's Club in Tiburon. The family home is at 4 Juno road, Belveron Gardens.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 am. tomorrow at the Memorial Chapels of Russell and Gooch, Mill Valley. A Requiem Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. at St. Hilary's Church. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the J church. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.

Mrs. Francis L. Hevern, 39. died in a San Francisco hospital, Friday, August 17.

Mary Jane was born August 15, 1916 in Sioux Falls, S. Dak. to Sylvester and Kathryn Tracy and reared in Sioux Falls and Larchwod, Iowa.

She married Francis (Doan) Hevern, in 1941, in Oakland, Calif. They made their home in Mill Valley, Calif.

Funeral services were held in St. Hilary's Catholic Church, Tiburon, Calif. on August 20. Burial at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, San Rafael, Calif.

Survived by the widower; four children, Ed, Jennifer, Joe and Julie; mother, Mrs. Kathryn Tracy, Mill Valley, Calif; two brothers, Jerry, South San Francisco and Gene, Mill Valley; two sisters, Mrs, Jenny Lee Kerkvliet, Larchwood, Iowa and Mrs. Phyllis Lewis, Valley Springs, S.D.
