Springfield – Alberta "Bert" Schuler Brannen, 87, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Hospice Savannah. The Ohio native was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield, the Bethlehem Chapter of the Eastern Star, and enjoyed participating at the Senior Center in Springfield. She formerly worked for Effingham County Courts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Albert Schuler and Inez Potts Miller; brother, Robert W. Schuler; and husband, James H. Cunningham.
Survivors include her children, Caroline Usher of Springfield, Anthony (Joyce) Wilt of Pineora, Ruthann (Charles) Morgan of Rincon, and Rebecca (Jeffrey) Wasson of Springfield; 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Eileen (Lyle) Tuttle of Springfield.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Springfield. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Remembrances may be given to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416. Thomas C.
