Retired Stegmaier Employee Was Ill 6 Weeks

Hugh F. Price, widely known resident of Wilkes-Barre, died at his home, 119 Park Avenue, last night at 6:20 following an illness of six weeks.
Mr. Price was born at Hazleton, coming to Wilkes-Barre as a child with his parents, the late John and Ann Walsh Price. He became associated with the Stegmaier Brewery in 1904 remaining in that firm's employe for more than 40 years. He was Wilkes-Barre City solicitor for that firm until his retirement several years ago.
Surviving is his wife, the former Mary McDonald, to whom he was married June 1, 1888. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary one year ago. Also surviving are a son, Stanley; a daughter, Mrs. William Connor; four grandchildren, Joan Marie Price, William, Donald and Robert Connor.
Mr. Price was the last of eight children in his family. He was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Immaculate Conception, the Holy Name Society and was a charter member of both the Knights of Columbus and the Eagles.
The body was removed to the M. J. McLaughlin Funeral Home, 142 South Washington Street.
