Audrey Kehoe, 85 died Friday, August 26, 2011 at Mill Pond Retirement Community in Ankeny. Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel, with a graveside service to follow at Glendale Cemetery.
Audrey was born in Rippey, Iowa on April 12, 1926 and graduated from Perry High School. She married Max L. Kehoe on December 17, 1948 in Perry, Iowa. Audrey retired as an executive secretary in 1986 from Hawkeye Security Insurance. She enjoyed oil and pastel painting, playing cards and above all Iowa Hawkeye football. Following the death of her husband in 1996, Audrey lived in Phoenix, AZ before returning to Iowa in 2007.
Audrey is survived by her grandchildren, Autumn Salvia of California and Brandon Kehoe of Louisiana; and her son-in-law, Jerre Sheldon of California. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, her children, Lex and Fred Kehoe and Jeanne Sheldon.
