Darell W. Dillard was born June 25, 1976 in Austin, Texas. He departed this earthly life to enter eternal life with our Lord on Thursday, April 25, 2013.

Darell graduated from Southwest High School, Bexar County, Texas in 1994. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1997, and after completion of technical training, served as a Combat Medical Technician, with the 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, TX. He deployed with the 1st Cavalry in support of Task Force Eagle, Bosnia-Herzegovina, from 1998 to 1999, and served with U.S. Army Medical Clinic Pohakuloa, Schofield Barracks, HI, from 2001 to 2003. He received an Honorable discharge August 2003.

After leaving military service, Darell continued his passion for caring for others and was listed in the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians as a Certified Emergency Medical Technician, and was certified as a Registered Medical Supply Technician by The Department of Veteran Affairs.

Darell leaves behind to cherish his memory three adorable children, two daughters and a son; devoted parents in Goldsboro, NC; devoted maternal grandmother, Goldsboro, NC, two brothers, Georgetown, TX, a devoted sister, Goldsboro, NC; three uncles, one in Dallas, TX, and two in Goldsboro, NC; eleven aunts, in Nashville, TN and Goldsboro, NC; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held at Castle Ridge Mortuary on Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a Graveside Service at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
