On last Saturday evening, as Mr. Benj. Daily, of Dalson{Dawson?} township, was riding home through the storm, he was struck by lightning and killed. He was found the next morning, about a mile north-west of Amburn{Auburn?}. His clothes were considerably scorched -- probably had been on fire and put out by the rain; his face, also appeared to be burned. The horse he was riding was killed by the same shock. -- Marshall Illinoisian, 16th inst.
