Perry Hatchett, 90, a former resident of Mount Vernon died at 8:15 am Friday in Alton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at the Pulley Funeral Home with Reverend A. B. Clodfelder officiating. Burial will be in the West Salem Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Pulley Funeral Home, where friends may call at any time.
Mr. Hatchett was born November 15, 1871 in Franklin County, Illinois, the son of Charles and Peg Ann (Sommers) Hatchett.
He was married to Martha Shirley, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Henry Pigg, of O'Fallon, three brothers, Willis & Forrest Hatchett, both of Franklin County, Illinois and Page Hatchett of Cairo, six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and one daughter.
