Wayne and his family moved to Arizona in 1967. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II and was assigned to the aircraft carrier, USS Hancock, in the Pacific Theater.

Wayne was a craftsman with wood for over 40 years. He was truly an artist. He very much liked to spend time in his wood working shop building furniture, toys, and boxes using exotic woods from around the world. Wayne supported many charities with donations of his art work.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Nancy Ann and his granddaughter Catherine Marie Edgar. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Mary Nell. Wayne is survived by his son Cary Wayne Immel; seven grandchildren, Kristen, Kara, Megan, Mark, Melissa, Aimee, Adrian and four great grandchildren.

Wayne always had a joke or two to tell which will be missed by his family and friends.
