LONG GROVE, Iowa -- Blanche Alice (Kreiter) Baughman died peacefully at the age of 98 at
WestWing Place in DeWitt, Iowa, on Aug. 16. Cremation rites were accorded per her wishes.
A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, at Long Grove Christian Church.
Private graveside services will be before the service at Mt. Joy Cemetery.
Surviving to celebrate her life are her daughters, Petra (Don) Westphal, Long Grove,
Iowa, and Maxine (Tom) Robie, Holstein, Iowa; grandchildren, Koreen (Mitch) Pollock,
Vilseck, Germany, Brad (Dawn) Knutson, Davenport, Iowa, Richard (Julie) Westphal,
Eldridge, Iowa, Christine (Jim) Skala, Eldridge, Iowa, Roxanne Westphal, Davenport, Iowa,
Susan (Gabby) Helmers, Knoxville, Iowa, Barbara (Dan) Soelner, Storm Lake, Iowa, Michelle
(Tom) Huenecke, Lisbon, Iowa, Denise (Don) Westman, of Minnesota, Tim Baughman, of
California, Michelle (Chuck) Allaman, Courtland, Ohio, Matthew (Val) Baughman, Davenport,
Iowa, Kristin (Tim) Schwarz, Eldridge, Iowa, and Tracy (Jim) Welch, Long Grove, Iowa; and
27 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Wilma Kreiter,
husband, Lester Baughman, sons, Lourde Baughman and John Del Baughman and his wife, Lora,
three sisters, Laura Marie, Josephine, and Thecla, and great-grandson, Jeff Knutson.
Memorials in her name may go to Long Grove Christian Church. Nelson Funeral Home, DeWitt,
is in charge of arrangements.
