He was born in Vineland and after graduating from Vineland High School in 1952, he worked alongside his father in various businesses which included a trucking business, Viano Bros and Bellmawr Laundromat. He entered the securities business in 1968 working for IDS Financial Services and then finally FSC Security Corp., where he opened his office in Vineland with his business partner of 39 years, Ed Souders.
Edward served in the Naval Reserves then Navy, being stationed at Lakehurst Naval Airbase working with the airships. He participated in the JC's of Buena and was a legislative aide in Trenton. He loved fishing, boating, golfing, cooking crabs and spaghetti for family and friends, bird hunting with his father and watching western sunsets. He was a member of the Legacy Golf and Tennis Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Gladys (Stignani) Viano, and parents, Edward L. Viano and Mary (Renzi) Viano.
He was survived by his wife, Gloria, two step-sons, Matthew and Eric Dolton, two grandchildren, Aaron and Elise Dolton, nephews, Donald and David Menzoni and several cousins.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Isidore's Church, 1655 Magnolia Rd, Vineland. Entombment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
