Charles W. Brown, 84 year old resident of this city died Saturday morning, January 30 at Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville where he had been a patient for nearly a month.
He was born May 20, 1886 in Loami, son of the Late James and Louisa Violet Brown. He is survived by three nieces, Myrtle Brown and Mrs. Yvonne Hart, both of Waverly and Mrs. Luna Henderson of Colorado; and two nephews, Raymond Brown of California and Melvin Brown of Springfield.
Funeral services were held at the Neece Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Paul Dye officiating and Mrs. Gordon Hankins at the organ.
Burial was in Waverly East Cemetery.
