Paula (Busch) Armstrong

Mrs. Paula Armstrong 84 of Greenville, formerly of Lake Tawakoni community went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday at her residence. Funeral services celebrating Mrs. Armstrong's life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Rev. Jimmy Vaughn officiating; burial will follow at I.O.O. F. Cemetery in Quinlan. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday.

Mrs. Armstrong was born January 11, 1929 in Regensburg, Germany. She is the daughter of the late Mathias and Margarete Dirr Busch. She was raised and attended school in Germany. She married Mr. Athol Armstrong December 19, 1948 in Regensburg, Germany and they moved to Dallas, in 1949 where she worked for Texas Instruments and St. Paul's Hospital. In 1972, they moved to the Lake Tawakoni community where she had worked for the Quinlan ISD. Mr. Armstrong preceded her in death December 23, 1995. Mrs. Armstrong was raised Catholic, but later she was baptized in the Truett Baptist Church in Dallas where she is still a member. Mrs. Armstrong enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is loved and will be missed by her children, Athol F. Armstrong & wife Martha of Council Hill, OK, Patricia B. Lawson of Ft. Pierce, FL, Phillip J. Armstrong & wife Sandra of Greenville and Paul A. Armstrong & wife Karen of Greenville. Grandchildren, Shawn Lawson, Tonya Mikovsky, Jason Armstrong, Kim Stauffer, Michelle Armstrong, Brandon Armstrong, Josh Armstrong and Sharlene Armstrong, Sara Phillips and Jennifer Crossley. 23 Great-Grandchildren. Sister, Erna Hofbauer & husband Josefa of Haverdal, Sweden.
