Rose Ann Baird, 66, Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, after an extended illness.
She was born in East Freedom, daughter of the late William E. and Jayne M. (Lingenfelter) Baird.
Surviving are three sisters: Judy Dodson and Elaine Baird, both of East Freedom, and Sue Miller and husband, Dennis, of Altoona; four brothers: William and Joseph, both of East Freedom, Michael and wife, Carolyn, of Elizabethtown and Daniel and wife, Lori, of Roaring Spring; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rose was a 1966 graduate of Central High School and also graduated from the Hiram G. Andrews Center, Johnstown, as a dental technician and Edinboro University, magna cum laude, earning a degree in psychology. She was an avid reader and enjoyed movies and cooking.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m., Pastor Charles F. Yingling officiating. Interment will be made in Claysburg Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rose's memory may be given to the Myasthenia Gravis Association of Western Pennsylvania, 490 E. North Ave., Suite 410, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
