CLEMENS - Mr. Alvin B. Clemens, aged 90, of Byron Center, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011. Mr. Clemens was preceded in death by his first wife, Eunice; parents, Jacob and Matilda; brothers, Gilbert, Clair, Floyd, L.D., Rollo, his sister, Celia; and by his step-daughter, Janice Kinsey. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Ellen; sons, Randy (Sandra) Clemens, Charles A. (Patty) Clemens; stepchildren, Terry (Wendy) Evans, Gelia (Terry) Teegardin, Rick (Cindy) Evans, Harlow (Ronda) Evans, Jr., Twyla (Al) Peterman; son-in-law, Dave Kinsey; grandchildren, Derek (Kimberly) Clemens, Dave (Renee) Clemens; three great-grandchildren; 20 step-grandchildren and 39 step great-grandchildren. Alvin proudly served his country in WWII with the US Army Air Force. He retired from Doehler-Jarvis after 25 years of service. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. March 12, 2011 at Clyde Park Church of the Nazerene, 2545 Clyde Park Ave. SW., with Rev. William Couchenour Jr., officiating. His family will greet relatives and friends Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Church. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
