You brought beauty and joy through music into our lives. Although Kurt and I were geographically apart, we were connected in our hearts and with the music we shared with you...and continue to share. You will always be remembered with great fondness.

Dear Dr. Haas:I used to hear "Adventures in Good Music" on Baltimore Classical Station from time to time. You were an excellent host. Your program would start off with the 2nd movement of the Pathetique Sonata by Beethoven. I hope you are reunited with the great classical masters. May your soul continue to rest in peace.

I fondly remember many enjoyable hours listening to and learning from the educational and rich content of Mr. Haas' lectures on the air. I miss his programming very much. I remember attending in person a lecture he gave at UCSD some years ago. I can only imagine, upon his passing, as he stepped into Heaven, that he smiled, looked around, and resounded in his trademark sonorous voice: "Hell-lo everyone."
