The Rev. Ralph Metcalf, of Wattsburg, Pa, officiated at funeral services for W.C. Field, eighty one, R.D. 5, Erie, conducted in the Lowville Methodist church.

Interment followed in the family lot in Lowville cemetery. Those who carried the casket were: Glen Henderson, Clyde Henderson, Floyd O Hammond, and Dana Hammond.

Mr. Field died at his residence Wednesday after an illness. He was a former resident of Lowville but was born in Lyons, NY on August 10, 1858.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ralph C. Batten, Highland Park, Mich., and Mrs. Lloyd Hurst, Royal Oak, Mich.; one brother, H.S. Field, Lyons, N.Y., four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
