GLEASON: Services for Elijah Huston Harris, 90, were held on Tuesday, December 16 at the Gallimore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vance Rushing officiating. Interment followed in Sandhill Cemetery. Mr. Harris, disabled and retired from Bell Clay Company, died on Sunday, December 14 at McKenzie Regional Hospital. He was born on November 4, 1913 in Gleason to the late Ben and Lula Hodges Harris. Survivors include his wife, Nannie Mae Tegethoff Harris; two sons, Charles Harris of Somerville and Jerry Harris of McKenzie; two stepsons, Thomas Burke of Gleason and Larry Burke of McKenzie; two daughters, Linda Lowe of Greer, South Carolina and Wanda Jackson of Dresden; one stepdaughter, Martha Burke of McKenzie; one brother, Donald Harris of Eaton Rapids, Michigan; three sisters, Virginia Ward, Lorenda Groce and Ruby Moon, all of Eaton Rapids, Michigan; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
