CARMEL — Phillip R. Ranck, 63, passed away on Jan. 21, 2013. He was born Jan. 8, 1950, in Wabash, Ind., son of Roger Ranck and Joanne Jean Ranck. Phil was the oldest of four brothers, Ralph Jay Ranck, the late David Eugene Ranck and Timothy Lee Ranck.

Phil graduated from Southwood High School in 1968 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing from Ball State University. He was employed by Elanco, DowElanco, and DowAgrosciences and retired with 32 years of service in 2004.

Phil was a loving father, grandfather and friend of many. His passions were caring for his lawn and garden, fishing with his grandchildren and spending his winters in Florida walking the beach.

He was proud of his grandchildren, Grant Joseph Ranck and Hudson Jonathan Ranck.

Phil is survived by his mother, Joanne Ranck, Wabash; sons, Seth Ashley Ranck, Nolensville, Tenn., and Andrew Joseph Ranck, Scottsdale, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger; and brother, Dave.

A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29 in Lincolnville United Methodist Church, 5848 E. 500 S, Lincolnville, IN 46992.
