Ann Eliza was the daughter of William Young, Sr. and Elizabeth Kennedy Young of Tennessee. She married William Buckner Chiles on 29 October 1865 in Giles County, Tennessee. They were the parents of twelve known children: William Paul, Henry C., John Thomas, Charles C., Sarah Elizabeth, Fannie Lou, Ida May, James Bruce, Robert Lee, Joseph Johnson, Joe O. & Cannon C. Chiles.
