Ardis Kaylor Altman, 86, of Lindenhurst, IL, passed away peacefully October 25, 2011 at home. Ardis was born August 31, 1925 in the Township of Hempfield, County of Westmoreland, Pennsylvania. She is a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church where she was in the Pioneer Volunteer Group, and the Tuesday Morning Group. Ardis was an Operator for Pennsylvania Bell and a Manager for Illinois Bell. Ardis is survived by her four children: Tim (Pat), Ken, David (Paula), and Kathy (Barry) Dowe. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and their spouses and two great-grandchildren. Ardis was preceded in death by her husband Clayton "Butch" and her son-in-law Anthony Vettori. Funeral Service will be at 2pm Saturday October 29th, 2011 at St. Mark Lutheran Church 1822 E. Grand Ave. Lindenhurst, IL 60046 with a gathering in rememberance of Ardis from 1-2pm Saturday until time of Service. Burial will occur at a later date in Greensburg, PA
