Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday in River View Cemetery Mausoleum for Merrill R. Jackson, a retired 40-year employee and vice president of Clyde Equipment Co. who died Tuesday in a Milwaukie hospital. He was 82.
Mr. Jackson, a Southwest Portland resident, was born in Marion, Ohio. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, a life member of the Masonic Lodge and an honorary member of the Czechoslovakian National Council.
He retired in 1969.
Surviving are his wife, Giny M.; a step-son, Ed Vachal of Portland; two sisters, Helen Bastel of Portland and Waverly Lozier of Alhambra, Calif.; and a brother, William of Redondo Beach, Calif.
