THE DAILY CHRONICLE (DeKalb, Illinois) 24 Aug 1982 MILLEDGEVILLE -- Stephen H. Adee, 76, of Milledgeville, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1982 at Community General Hospital, Sterling, following a short illness.

He was born Nov. 10, 1905 in Sycamore, the son of Charles and Mable (Barber) Adee.He married Elida Hall June 30, 1949 in Clinton, Iowa. He was an Illinois State Trooper for 27 years before retiring in 1969.Surviving are his wife, Elida; a son, Richard of Thompson, Ill.; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Rairin, of Boulder Junction, Wis., and Frances Adee of Chicago; and several nieces and nephews.

Adee was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.He was a member of the Milledgeville United Methodist Church.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Allen-Woodin Funeral Home, Milledgeville, with the Rev. Clark Moushon officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Sycamore. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
