Delbert J. Shriver
LEETONIA - Delbert J. Shriver, 67, of 425 Somer St., died suddenly of an apparent heart attack Thursday at 12:55am at the Good Samartian Hospital in Sandusky.
Born Nov. 6, 1908, in Lisbon, he was the son of the late Albert Shriver and Mrs. Ada M. Welker Shriver.
He was a member of the Leetonia Methodist Church and was employed as a custodian at the local Post Office for over 31 years, retiring in 1972.
He was married to the former Helen M. Couchie April 17, 1938. She died May 21, 1985.
Survivors include his mother of Leetonia; a daughter, Mrs. Beverly Jean Blackburn of Columbiana; a son, Richard J. Shriver of Leetonia, and two grandchildren.
Services will be held Sunday at 2pm at the Woods and Son Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Earl Bucklew, pastor of the Columbiana Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
