Kathy was born on January 8, 1951 in Rolette, North Dakota, to Leonel and Genevieve Charbonneau. She was one of ten children. To her family and friends in North Dakota she was always known as Catty, which eventually was turned to Kathy, and that is the name she went by for the rest of her wonderful life.
She grew up in Dunseith, ND, where she attended Roussin school, Wahteton Indian School and Flandreau High school. After school Kathy enlisted in the Job Corps and went to Missouri for her enlistment. After her time was up with the Job Corps she moved back to North Dakota.
Kenneth and Kathy met in Dunseith, North Dakota where they had three children, Todd, Lori and Corey. In 1974 they decided to move to Idaho, where she spent her time working various jobs and ending up being a full-time mother and then a grandmother.
Kathy loved to spend her time crocheting blankets, working on puzzles and spending any extra time with her grandchildren. Kathy was a member of the Catholic Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth; her sons, Todd (Keri) Dahlberg, of Aberdeen; Corey (Kathy Phillips), of Pocatello; daughter, Lori (Randy) Hansen, of Chubbuck; grandchildren, Skyler and Brook Dahlberg, Dakota and Zachery Hansen and Shelbi Waters; sisters, Judy and Dianne; and brothers, Dwight, Alan, Kenneth, Eugene, Harvey and Jeffrey.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Sherman.
Mom, we all love and miss you, but we know you are now pain free. You touched many hearts while you were with us and became known as Nana to many other people young and old. Hearts as big as yours become far and few between.
