Mr. Shelby Murrah, 64, of 201 Hillcrest Avenue in Louisville, formerly of the Elkhorn community in Taylor County, son of the late Mr. William Dryden Murrah and Mrs. Amanda Susan Rice Murrah, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, May 21, 1907. He died at 11:15 p.m., Thursday, March 2nd [1972] at the St. Anthony Hospital in Louisville. He had been a patient there for the past two days.

He professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Elkhorn United Methodist Church.

He united in marriage to Miss Josie Smith, December 14, 1929.

Besides his wife, he is also survived by one sister: Mrs. W. C. Mitchell; one niece and one nephew, Mrs. Jane Horn and Mr. George Mitchell.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 5th in the Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Richard Ramsey. Burial was in the Brookside Cemetery.
