William G. Purdue, 80, died at 1:15 AM Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1958, in his home near Klondike; he had been in failing health for two years. Born in New Roe, KY, he married Isabelle Tucker in 1905; she survives. A retired farmer, Mr. Purdue moved to Klondike from Otterbein in 1935.
Surviving with his widow are a daughter, Mrs. Lavinia Case of Detroit, MI; a son, James V. Purdue of St. Petersburg, FL; and six grandchildren, Janet Dildins of Ann Arbor, MI, Robert Purdue of Grand Rapids, MI, Joy, Gale, Fay and Jimmie Purdue, all of St. Petersburg, FL. Service Vogel Funeral Chapel, Otterbein, Rev. James Wire officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
