Missoula, Feb 19-Byron C. Benson, a well-known postal clerk here, is called upon today to perform one of the saddest duties that ever falls to the lot of man, to lay at rest the remains of his wife. For several months Mrs. Benson has been declining with consumption. For a time she was at the sister's hospital here, but recently was taken to Butte to the home of Mr. Aiken, a relative, where she died at 12:30 Tuesday afternoon. The remains will arrive here on No. 5, and the funeral will take place from the Presbyterian church at 2 o'clock.

Addie Angevine Benson was the daughter of Captain Rogers, who formerly conducted the Rogers hotel here, and was born March 17, 1845. She was married to Mr. Benson about seven years ago. Two children were born to them, one of whom died in infancy, and the other, a little girl of five years, is living with Mr. Aiken's people in Butte. A host of friends extend their sincere sympathy to Mr. Benson in his sad bereavement.
