PEMBROKE, Ga. — Mrs. Curlie Mae Cone Daughtry, age 96, passed away peacefully early Monday morning at Ogeechee Area Hospice after a short illness. She was a native of Bulloch County, a homemaker and a regular attendee of both Friendship Baptist Church and Holy Devine Trinity Holiness Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Doris (Harry) McCollum, Pembroke, Ga., Jessie Bell Jones, Brooklet, Ga., and Mary Agnes Johnson, Jacksonville, Fla.; four sons, Clifford Daughtry, Jacksonville, Fla., Shurman (Martha) Daughtry and Floyd (Wanda) Daughtry, both of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Lloyde (Nancy) Daughtry, Brooklet, Ga.; a goddaughter, Kasandra (Bobby) Williams, Statesboro, Ga.; 32 grand-children, 31 great-grandchildren, five sisters, Mary Strickland and Audrey Mae Jones, both of Statesboro, Lorene Coppack, Pooler, Ga., Minnie Bell Moore, Detroit, Mich., and Beatrice (Oliver) Dismunk, Miami, Fla.; one brother, Buster Cone, Savannah; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Mrs. Daughtry will be held on Saturday, December 15th, at Royal Temple Holiness Church, Guyton, Ga., with Pastor Joan Rawls officiating. Burial will be in Cone Cemetery.
