He was born in Gastonia on July 26, 1974, to Kenneth Ray Buchanan and Denise Ledford Haley. He is preceded in death by his Grandfather, Robert Buchanan, and brother-in-law, Rev. Ricky Baker.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Sherri Ledford Buchanan of the home; two sons, Christopher Daniel Buchanan and Timothy Brandon Buchanan of the home; father, Kenneth Ray Buchanan of Conway, S.C.; mother, Denise Ann Haley of Gastonia; mother and father-in-law, Linda and Thomas Ledford of Clover, S.C.; grandmother, Geneva Buchanan of Conway, S.C.; special sister-in-law, Jennifer Baker of Clover, S.C.; sister, Sheila Buchanan; stepsister, Crystal Ward; half brother, Billy Davis; special nieces and nephew Jessica Baker and fiancé, Andy Jenkins, Amber Baker, Dallas Baker and numerous other nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Eighth Street Church of God in Bessemer City.
Robbie was employed with Toyota of Gastonia for nine years as a master technician. He was a loving husband and father and was also a special uncle to Jennifer Baker's children after the death of their father, Rev. Ricky Baker. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
The family will have a visitation from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel Gastonia.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at the Eighth Street Church of God in Bessemer City with the Rev. Ronnie Pendleton and Rev. Ray Dinkle officiating.
Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, S.C.
Arrangements are with Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel.
