Geneva Ursula was born on March 9, 1878 in a sod house on the prairie in Fairview, Kansas, the 4th of 8 children but moved at a young age to Greenwich, Ohio where she grew up and graduated from Greenwich High School. Her parents were Daniel Webster & Jane Elizabeth (Hopkins) Flory.
Neva was living in Lakewood, OH and was 23 when she married William Kale on June 27, 1901 in Lakewood. Pastor G. W. Huddleston of the Detroit St. Methodist Church performed the ceremony.
They had two sons who were born in Cleveland. Neva was 24 when Lawrence was born on Aug. 4, 1902 and 31 when Lester was born seven years later on Sept. 7, 1909.
She and William were living at 2563 E 63rd St. with sons Larry and Lester in the 1920 Cleveland census. Bill was a machinist in a factory.
They appeared in the 1930 census living at 5462 State Rd. in Parma. Bill was working as an assembler in a tool company.
They had been married 39 years when Neva passed away on Jan. 22, 1940 at their home on State Rd. in Parma from a heart attack at the age of 61 years, 10 months from heart failure after 5 years of chronic cardiac hypertrophy. She is buried at Riverside Cemetery in Cleveland, Sec. 6, Lot 352, Grave 1, south grave, along with her husband William who passed away nine years later on Aug. 11, 1949 in Parma.
